Decision:

9/2003 The Cabinet agreed the process for approving posts as outlined in section 4 of the report subject to the addition of the following to paragraph 4.2 to the report:-

Decision:

Land Charges Contract

Decision:

13/2003 The Cabinet awarded the contract for the provision of hardware and software to facilitate the Local Land Charges Service to MVM Consultants Ltd on the terms set out in the report.

5.

Contract for Fridge and Freezer Disposal

Decision:

14/2003 The Cabinet agreed to accept the tender submitted by EMR on the terms set out in the report, as it represents best value.

Six-Monthly Report on Progress Towards Achieving Performance Plan Priorities

Decision:

3/2003 The Cabinet noted the report.
4/2003 That the Overview and Scrutiny Coordinating Committee look in more detail at:-i) Older people aged 65 and over helped to live at home and statement of needsii) Processing of benefits claimsiii) Number of visits to public librariesiv) Number of temporary traffic control or road closures on traffic sensitive roads.

Community Safety

Decision:

5/2003 The Cabinet agreed the Taskforce approach for Operation Sahara as set out in option 3 of the report plus the £180,000 to be allocated to the 2003/2004 budget.

Review of LA21/EMAS Activity

Decision:

10/2003 The Cabinet deferred this item until the next meeting to allow further discussion with the LA21/Environment Partnership Board concerning administrative support as set out in paragraph 5.2.4 to the report.

9.

Development Covenant on MHS Homes Land

Decision:

12/2003 The cabinet agreed the proposal to use resources currently allocated to housing capital schemes to fund the purchase of nomination rights from mhs homes, as set out in section four of the report, conditional upon completion of the new homelessness agreement and recommends that Council agrees the necessary virement as set out in this report. This will not include the interest referred to in paragraph 4.3 of the report.

10.

Drug Action Team

Decision:

6/2003 The Cabinet recommended to Council the transfer of responsibilities for the Drug Action Team Manager from Health and Community Services to Development and Environment with effect from 1 April 2003, to include the transfer of the DAT development funding.

Medway Renaissance Partnership

Decision:

1/2003 The Cabinet agreed that officers continue to discuss the proposal as set out in the appendix to the report (subject to the term
