Decision:

259/2008 The Cabinet accepted the tender from Breheny as set out in the exempt appendix.

Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) Management Plan

Decision:

252/2008 The Cabinet adopted the First Revision of the Kent Downs AONB Management Plan in fulfilment of its statutory duties under the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000.
253/2008 The Cabinet agreed that the formal date for adoption is set at 27 February 2009.
254/2008 The Cabinet delegated authority to the Director of Regeneration, Community and Culture in conjunction with the appropriate portfolio holders the responsibility to accept minor changes made by other local authorities during the adoption process.

Provisional Local Government Settlement 2009/2010

Decision:

251/2008 The Cabinet noted the provisional settlement as an essential part of the budget setting process for 2009/2010 and instructed officers to make representations to central government with regard to the level of settlement and the method by which it is calculated.

Annual Performance Assessment of Adult Social Care

Decision:

apa/2008 The Cabinet noted the outcome of the Annual Review of Performance for Adult Social Care and the actions arising as set out in paragraph 3.4 of the report.

Local Development Framework Annual Monitoring Report

Decision:

256/2008 The Cabinet approved the 2008 Annual Monitoring Report for submission to the Government Office for the South East by 31 December 2008.

Future of Education in Chatham - Outcome of Consultation

Decision:

248/2008 The Cabinet authorised the Chief Executive, in consultation with the Portfolio Holder for Children's Services, to publish formal proposals including statutory notices relating to the closure of Medway Community College and Chatham South School.
249/2008 The Cabinet delegated authority to the Chief Executive, in consultation with the Portfolio Holder for Children's Services to determine whether to approve the closure proposals at the end of the statutory consultation period, if no objections are received.
250/2008 The Cabinet delegated authority to the Chief Executive, in consultation with the Portfolio Holder for Children's Services to pursue the necessary steps to establish a co-educational academy of eight forms of entry and a sixth form on the Medway Community College site admitting students aged 11 - 19 from 1 September 2010 (subject to no decisions being taken committing the Council to any course of action until and unless the Council has approved the closure proposal).

Decision:

258/2008 The Cabinet agreed that the school meals contract goes out to tender on the basis set out in paragraphs 6.11-6.16 of the report.

Carers Advisory and Support Services Contract Awards - Gateway Three

Decision:

257/2008 The Cabinet awarded a 3 year contract in relation to a Community Based Advisory Service to Carers First/Medway Carers and awarded a 3 year contract to Crossroads Medway for the delivery of carer support services across Medway, as set out in the exempt appendix.
