Capital Budget Monitoring

Decision:

206/2008 The Cabinet agreed to delegate authority to the Assistant Director of Housing and Corporate Services, in consultation with the Portfolio Holders for Finance and Front Line Services, to negotiate and acquire a short-term lease of the Medway Street Car Park upon the best terms reasonably obtainable.
207/2008 The Cabinet recommended to Council the improvement works to the Medway Street Car Park as an addition to the Capital Programme on an invest to save basis and to adopt the same car parking charges as currently charged at the Globe Lane Car Park.
208/2008 The Cabinet agreed to the current Traffic Regulation Order for Globe Lane car park being extended to allow for parking regulations on the Medway Street Car Park.

Revenue Budget Monitoring

Decision:

205/2008 The Cabinet agreed to instruct the Chief Executive and Directors to identify management action plans detailing options for containing overall expenditure within approved cash limits.

Critical Success Factors

Decision:

209/2008 The Cabinet agreed the set of revised critical success factors and reporting format to be used for monitoring from October 2008.

Resource Strategy and Council Plan 2009-2012

Decision:

203/2008 The Cabinet agreed the Resource Strategy 2009/2012 and noted progress towards the Council Plan.

5.

Highways Minor Works Contract Performance Review

Decision:

210/2008 The Cabinet noted the performance of the Highways Maintenance Contractor, Fitzpatrick's, as detailed in Appendix 1 of the report.
211/2008 The Cabinet agreed to award a one (1) year extension to Fitzpatrick's Highways Minor Works Contract, in accordance with the conditions of contract, which was originally procured through the council's procurement procedures.
212/2008 The Cabinet approved the adoption of the revised Key Performance Indicators for the performance and management of the Highways Minor Works Contract as detailed in Appendix 2 of the report.

6.

Local Area Agreement Innovation Partnership Fund

Decision:

204/2008 The Cabinet approved the creation of the LAA Partnership Innovation Fund and the section 75 agreement as attached at appendix 1 to the report.
