Annual Report

Decision:

195/2008 The Cabinet approved the Annual Report 2007/2008 for publication subject to the addition of the following text under the economic and social regeneration heading on page 40 of the agenda:

Award of Contract: Drug Interventions Programme

Decision:

202/2008 The Cabinet awarded the Medway Drug Intervention Programme element of the contract to Crime Reduction Initiatives, to take effect from 1 October 2008 and run until 31 March 2011.

Change of Age Range - Luton Infants School

Decision:

199/2008 The Cabinet agreed to consult on a proposed change to the age range of Luton Infant School, Chatham, to permit the admission of children from the age of 3 years with effect from January 2009.

Museum Acquisition and Disposal Policy 2008-2012

Decision:

198/2008 The Cabinet agreed to approve and adopt the Museum Acquisition and Disposal Policy 2008 - 2012 subject to the Director of Regeneration, Community and Culture, in consultation with the Portfolio Holder for Community Services, making the revisions as set out in section 3 of the addendum report.

Community Safety Partnership Plan 2008-2011 (policy framework)

Decision:

196/2008 The Cabinet agreed to recommend to Council that the Community Safety Partnership Plan be approved as a policy framework document subject to the following amendments as suggested by the Regeneration, Community and Culture Overview and Scrutiny Committee on 28 August 2008:
(a) the lead agencies are included in the plan for priorities 4, 7 and 9;
(b) information about the one-stop shops is updated in the current plan;
(c) information on Alcohol Control Zones is updated in the current plan.
197/2008 The Cabinet agreed that future consultation would be improved and broadened for next year's plan to include the Kent Police Authority.

6.

Recruitment Freeze

Decision:

200/2008 The Cabinet agreed to unfreeze the following posts, as detailed in Appendix 1 to the report, to enable officers to commence the recruitment process:
Children and Adults
a) PA to Director
b) Children's Trust Support Officer.

7.

Award of Supporting People Contract: Floating Support Service for Young Adults

Decision:

201 The Cabinet agreed to award a support service contract for floating support for young adults to In Touch for a period of up to 4 years.
