School Admission Arrangements - September 2009

Decision:

103/2008 The Cabinet agreed the coordinated scheme for secondary admissions 2009, as set out in appendix 1 of the report.
104/2008 The Cabinet agreed the arrangements for admission in 2009 for community and voluntary controlled secondary schools, as set out in appendix 2 of the report.
105/2008 The Cabinet agreed the coordinated scheme for primary admissions 2009, as set out in appendix 3 of the report.
106/2008 The Cabinet agreed the arrangements for admission in 2009 for community and voluntary controlled primary schools, as set out in appendix 4 of the report.

Day Care Services for Adults with a Disability

Decision:

100/2008 The Cabinet agreed the following Longer Term ambitions (commencing April 2010): a) Current budgetary arrangements should be changed to enable Personalised Budgets (based on person-centred planning) to be offered to individuals to move from traditional day services to community opportunities, offering more choice to people with a disability from April 2010. b) A minimum of two

Recruitment Freeze

Decision:

110/2008 The Cabinet agreed to unfreeze the following posts, as detailed in Appendix 1 to the report, to enable officers to commence the recruitment process: Business Support: a) Service Support Assistant, b) System Development Assistant.

Grant of Easement, Pier Approach Road, Gillingham

Decision:

109/2008 The Cabinet agreed to delegate authority to the Assistant Director of Housing and Corporate Services, in consultation with the Portfolio Holder for Finance, to enter into the Deed of Easement in relation to Pier Approach Road at the best consideration reasonably obtainable.

Guide to Developer Contributions

Decision:

101/2008 The Cabinet approved the adoption of the Medway Council Guide to Developer Contributions as a Supplementary Planning Document.
102/2008 The Cabinet delegated authority to the Director of Regeneration, Community and Culture, in consultation with the Portfolio Holder for Strategic Development and Economic Growth, to agree minor technical changes to the document.

Medway Tunnel

Decision:

111/2008 The Cabinet recommended to Council to accept the sum as detailed in the exempt appendix to the report from the Rochester Bridge Trust and agree to the purchase of the Tunnel as detailed in the exempt appendix to the report and its addition to the capital programme.
112/2008 The Cabinet agreed that the financial allocation from the Rochester Bridge Trust be ringfenced for funding works associated with the Tunnel and its operation, and will be drawn down and agreed by the Director of Regeneration, Community and Culture, in consultation with the Portfolio Holder for Front Line Services.
