Parish council

Medway has 11 parishes covering the rural areas on the Hoo Peninsula and the upper reaches of the River Medway. These all have a parish council, which has limited powers but provide and maintain services such as recreation grounds, village greens, bus shelters, public toilets and allotments. Parish council elections take place every 4 years at the same time as local elections for Medway Council. Find out more about Medway's parish councils below:
