• Councillor Mike O'Brien - It is with great sadness that Medway Council announces that Cllr Mike O’Brien passed away on Thursday 8 September 2016. Our deepest sympathy goes to his family and friends. - Other interests - Councillor O’Brien declared an interest in agenda items 8 (Expansion at Danecourt Community Special School by way of Prescribed Alterations), 18 (Gateway 3 Contract Award Special Educational Needs Home to School Transport 2014) and 19 (Gateway 3 Contract Award: Speech and Language Therapy for School Age Children) because members of his extended family worked in these areas. He advised that further to advice from the Monitoring Officer he would stay and participate in the consideration and determination of these items.
• Councillor Phil Filmer - Other interests - Councillor Filmer declared an interest in agenda item 18 (Gateway 3 Contract Award Special Educational Needs Home to School Transport 2014) because he was a Director of Medway Norse. He chose to leave the room during consideration and determination of this item.
