Modification to the Decision to Amalgamate Barnsole Infant and Junior Schools

Following Medway Council’s original decision in 2010 to amalgamate Barnsole Infant and Junior Schools, the schools have requested that the amalgamation date be brought forward from 1 September 2013 to 1 September 2012. Cabinet were the decision makers for the original proposals in 2010, and as required by The Education and Inspections Act 2006 (EIA2006) and The School Organisation (Prescribed Alterations to Maintained  Schools) (England) Regulations 2007, any modification  proposals to decisions made under this legislation must be referred back to the original decision maker for determination.
