Summary

This report will ask the Cabinet to note responses received during the consultation and to recommend the Statement of Gambling Policy to Full Council for approval.

The report has previously been considered by the Licensing and Safety Committee on 6 August 2024 and by the Business Support and Digital Overview and Scrutiny Committee on 21 August 2024.

Access to Information

The report together with any other documents being considered (unless they contain exempt information) will be available for inspection 5 clear days before the decision is taken by the Cabinet. It is noted that the Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements)(Meetings and Access to Information)(England) Regulations 2012 requires 28 clear days’ notice of the intention to make a key decision.

On this occasion it has not been practicable to provide 28 clear days’ notice due to an oversight. It was not practicable to wait for the Cabinet meeting on 29 October as the Statement of Gambling Policy is due to be presented to Full Council on 17 October.
