Summary

This report will set out the outcome of a call-in considered by the Regeneration, Culture and Environment Overview and Scrutiny Committee on 11 August 2022, in relation to Cabinet decisions (89/2022, 90/2022 and 91/2022). These decisions related to approval to commence consultation on the draft Hoo Development Framework document.

It is noted that the Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements)(Meetings and Access to Information)(England) Regulations 2012 requires 28 clear days’ notice of the intention to make a key decision. On this occasion it has not been possible to provide this 28 clear days’ notice and therefore Section 10 (General Exception) of the above regulations have been complied with. It was not possible to include this report on the Forward Plan with 28 days’ notice as the need for the report to be included on the Cabinet agenda for 23 August 2022 was only known following consideration of the call-in report by the Regeneration, Culture and Environment Overview and Scrutiny Committee on 11 August 2022.
