Summary
This report will provide details of a proposed play area refurbishment programme and will ask Cabinet to recommend to Full Council on 16 July 2020 the addition of a sum of money to the Capital Programme to complete the required works.

It is noted that the Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements)(Meetings and Access to Information)(England) Regulations 2012 requires 28 clear days’ notice of the intention to make a key decision.
On this occasion it has not been practicable to provide this 28 clear days’ notice and therefore Section 10 (General Exception) of the above regulations have been complied with. It was not possible to include this report on the Forward Plan with 28 days’ notice because a final decision to add this item to the Cabinet Agenda for 7 July 2020 had not been made when the Forward Plan was published and additions to the Capital Programme are a matter for Council, with an intention to include the Play Area programme of investment within this reporting cycle.
