Summary

This report will provide details of the Council’s Capital Strategy for consideration and approval. The Capital Strategy is a key document for the Council and forms part of the authority’s financial planning arrangements. It provides a high level overview of how capital expenditure and the way it is financed contribute to the provision of services. It also provides an overview of how associated risk is managed and the implications for future financial sustainability and sets out the governance processes for approval and monitoring of capital expenditure.

The report together with any other documents being considered (unless they contain exempt information) will be available for inspection 5 clear days before the decision is taken by the Cabinet.
