Outcome of the Statutory Representation Period for the Expansion and Relocation of Rivermead School

Summary

The Cabinet on 13 January 2015 considered a report outlining the outcomes of the informal consultation period on the Council’s proposals to ‘increase pupil numbers’, ‘extend onto an additional site’ and to ‘alter the upper age limit’ at Rivermead Special School, by way of statutory prescribed alterations.

The Cabinet agreed to commence the period of statutory representation for the proposals and delegated authority to the Director of Children and Adults Services, in consultation with Portfolio Holder for Children's Services (Lead Member), to determine whether to approve the proposals at the end of the statutory consultation period if no objections are received. This report to Cabinet will therefore only be necessary if any objections are received.
