Ofsted Inspection of Local Authority Arrangements for the Protection of Children - Three Month Update

Summary

An Ofsted inspection of the local authority arrangements for the protection of children in Medway took place between 7 and 16 January 2013. The Ofsted report was published on February 15 2013. This report provides a summary of the actions in the first 3 months since the inspection.

It is noted that the Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements)(Meetings and Access to Information)(England) Regulations 2012 requires 28 clear days’ notice of the intention to make a key decision. On this occasion it has not been possible to provide this 28 clear days’ notice because this item has only now been added to the Forward Plan, therefore, section 10 (General Exception) of the above regulations have been complied with.
