Royal Voluntary Service helps the older generation in Chatham to enjoy life day to day . over 160 OAP's rely on RVS to have contact with others , enjoy a chat over a meal or a hot drink and actually enjoy life without feeling along or isolated.Indeed over 60 people have their shopping delivered by RVS volunteers who will also stay and have a chat which is something many look forward to.If the centre is closed these people will have nowhere to go and those housebound will have to rely on the generosity of someone hopefully able to do the shopping for them but never guaranteed . We really need the backing of the local community to save RVS as we will all one day need a place like this so please rally behind us to save the centre.
