We, the undersigned, welcome the review of the use of herbicides on Medway's parks and green spaces requested by the Regeneration, Culture and Environment Committee on August 15th. There is a growing body of evidence that substances containing glyphosate not only kill vegetation but are harmful to humans and animals. Wild verges and green spaces are an important part of urban biodiversity and we therefore call on Medway Council to end their use entirely with immediate effect.
