Note: Members of the public will be asked to park at Canterbury Christ Church University, off North Road (blue badge holders can still park on site at the St. George’s Centre). Upon entering Pembroke from the roundabout, please bear left into North Road and take the first left into the car park, and then turn right at the T junction. Please proceed straight ahead - parking will only be available in the two sets of bays which can be found immediately after driving past the exit signs on your right and will be denoted by either red or yellow spots.

This report seeks approval to recruit to the post of Assistant Director Culture and Community.

Minutes:

Background:

 

This report sought approval to recruit to the post of Assistant Director Culture and Community.

 

The report set out that that the current postholder was leaving the Council’s employment in December 2025. As the Council wished to recruit to this role and given that the remuneration package for Assistant Directors may exceed £100,000, it was necessary to seek full Council approval prior to recruiting to this role.

 

The Leader of the Council, Councillor Maple, supported by Councillor Perfect, proposed the recommendations set out in the report.

 

Decision:

 

The Council approved recruitment to the role of the Assistant Director Culture and Community.
