Decision:

97/2024

The Cabinet agreed to adopt the updated Local Flood Risk Management Strategy (LFRMS).

Reasons:

A Local Flood Risk Management Strategy is required under the Flood and Water Management Act 2010 and the current strategy was adopted in 2014. The LFRMS complements and supports the National Strategy published by the Environment Agency, which outlines a national framework for flood and coastal risk management and aims to balance the needs for communities, the economy and the environment.
