Outcome of the Consultation on the Future of Lordswood Infant and Lordswood Junior Schools
Decision:
212/2009 The Cabinet authorised the Director
of Children and Adults to publish formal proposals including
statutory notices relating to the closure of Lordswood Junior
School from 31 August 2010 and to make prescribed alterations to
Lordswood Infant School to create an all through primary school,
from 1 September 2010.
213/2009 The Cabinet agreed to delegate authority to the Director
of Children and Adults, in consultation with Portfolio Holder for
Children's Services, to determine whether to approve the closure
and prescribed alteration proposals at the end of the statutory
consultation period, if no objections are received, otherwise to
bring a report back to Cabinet to determine the closure and
prescribed alteration proposals.
