160/2008 The Cabinet approved the Housing Strategy and the suite of Housing sub-strategies subject to the amendments to pages 139 and 150 of the Affordable Housing Sub-Strategy tabled at the meeting and as set out above.

To comply with the requirement of Section 87 of the Local Government Act 2003 that the Council have a Local Housing Strategy. To enable Medway to deliver its strategy between 2008-11 while remaining aligned with the sub-regional and Regional Housing Strategies to maximise inward investment, and to ensure that there is a common understanding of housing markets and how they influence, relate to each other and how gaps in housing and/or housing related support can be addressed.
