The report will present the recommendations of the Buisness Support Overview and Scrutiny Committee regarding the content of the Performance Plan. As a policy framework document this will be referred to Council for approval.

94/2007 The Cabinet noted the new priorities and guiding principles and the areas currently included in the draft Performance Plan.
95/2007 The Cabinet noted the comments of the Business Support Overview and Scrutiny Committee and agreed to delegate authority to the Assistant Director (Communications and Improvement), in consultation with the Portfolio Holder for Customer First and Corporate Services to finalise the recommendations on the 2007/2008 Performance Plan to Council on 14 June 2007. This would include the addition of the following:
a) add at the end of the first paragraph of the Safer Communities chapter (page 27 of the Cabinet report):

The Performance Plan forms part of the Council's policy framework. It was therefore a requirement that Cabinet when formulating its own recommendations to Council considers the relevant overview and scrutiny committee's recommendations for the plan.The proposed timetable will enable the Performance Plan to be published by the statutory deadline of 30 June 2007.
