Purpose:
The proposal is to report tenders submitted
for the construction of an extended services community hub and
associated building works for Elaine Primary School.
Decision:
70/2007 The Cabinet agreed to delegate
authority to the Assistant Director of Legal, Contracts and
Property Services, in consultation with the Children's Services
Portfolio Holder, to accept the most advantageous tender for the
creation of an extended school community hub at Elaine Primary,
Strood.
Reasons for the decision:
The process of tendering, utilising the fixed
specification time control, quality definition and declared Health
and Safety considerations will ensure that the most advantageous
tender will be awarded.Delegated authority to accept the preferred
tender will ensure the project is not delayed.
