144/2006 The Cabinet approved the Pentagon Centre Development Brief for adoption as a Supplementary Planning Document.

The development of Chatham Centre into a thriving City Centre for Medway and the provision of more and better retail accommodation is a key priority for the council. Refurbishment and extension of the Pentagon Centre will play a major role in achieving these ambitions through predominantly private sector investment. The revised brief builds logically on National, Regional and Local planning policy and seeks to implement a key project within the Chatham Centre and Waterfront Framework.Early adoption of a Development Brief for The Pentagon Centre will help bring forward this important scheme.
