This report provided details of the Council's Schools Asset Management Plan (AMP) for 2004/2005. This plan provided information about school buildings and grounds and in consultation with the Council's stakeholder partners, the diocesan authorities and headteachers also recommended priorities for future capital spending. Each year the plan had to be approved by the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) before the Council could decide on capital spending priorities.

The Cabinet agreed that the Medway Schools AMP Statement of Priorities, incorporating the revision as set out in the addendum report, be submitted to the DfES for appraisal.

The recommendations satisfy the requirements of the DfES and will allow the submission of the draft documents within the required timescales.
