To consider a Cultural Statement which will develop the recent Best Value review of Cultural Services.

304/2003 The Cabinet approved and commended the Cultural Statement to the Culture and Heritage Group of the Local Strategic Partnership with a view to a summary being included within the revised Medway Community Plan.

This decision is consistent with the outcome of the Cultural Services Best Value Review and the Community Plan 2002-2005, which sets out a target of developing a cultural statement (initially referred to as a cultural strategy) to provide a clear framework for leisure provision in the area.
