The report seeks approval to a revised home to
school/college transport policy for children with special
educational needs
306/2003 The Cabinet approved the policy
statements for mainstream transport, which included continuation of
the nearest appropriate school rule and amended wording for
religious/denominational transport, and the special educational
needs home to school transport policy, attached to the report as
appendices 2 and 3 respectively.
The revised policy statements provide clarity
for parents and are consistent with legislation and the responses
from the consultation process.
