Reasons for the decision:

To introduce two new controlled parking zones in Gillingham South ward as requested by residents. Implementation of these decisions will address the proposal by Medway Hospital to increase car parking charges, which could encourage visitors to the hospital to park in nearby streets. It also seeks to address the use of commuters and visitors to the area who choose to use residential streets to park their cars.These proposals are in line with the key objectives of the Local Transport Plan.
