Relevant Overview and Scrutiny Committee: Children and
Adults
199/2008 The Cabinet agreed to consult on a
proposed change to the age range of Luton Infant School, Chatham,
to permit the admission of children from the age of 3 years with
effect from January 2009.
The establishment of a Foundation Stage unit
at Luton Infant School would be consistent with the Council's duty
to secure an educational place for all three and four year olds
whose parents want one. The initiation of the public consultation
process will allow views on the merits of the proposal to be sought
and considered in detail.
