Cabinet last agreed the Risk Management Strategy on 25 April 2006. The Council is required to annually review its risk management strategy. Cabinet will be asked to agree a revised risk management strategy and note the progress on the actions that were contained in the original document.

211/2007 The Cabinet noted the progress on the actions contained in the original Risk Management Strategy.
212/2007 The Cabinet agreed the revised Risk Management Strategy, as set out in Appendix 1 to the report.

The establishment of a corporate framework for risk management is recommended by CIPFA and SOLACE and will complement and support the work already being carried out within the Council to manage risks.
