The Annual Public Health Report informs local people about the health of their community as well as providing necessary information for the NHS and the Council about health gaps and priorities. This report will outline what is currently happening in Medway to improve health and sets the context for reducing health and inequalities and promote action for better health in Medway.

183/2006 The Cabinet endorsed the Director of Public Health's Annual Report for wide dissemination and discussion, and agreed to receive regular updates on the actions being taken to reduce health inequalities in Medway.

Every Local Authority is required to consider and endorse the report of its local Director of Public Health, as the basis for a series of actions designed to tackle health inequalities and reduce ill health in its area.
