Purpose:

This report will ask Cabinet to recommend to Council the adoption of the Community Safety Partnership Plan as part of the policy framework.

Decision:

40/2009 The Cabinet noted the comments of the Regeneration, Community and Culture Overview and Scrutiny Committee and recommended to Council that the Community Safety Partnership Plan is approved as a policy framework document subject to the inclusion of the Safe and Strong Medway Local Area Agreement targets, as set out on pages 29-32 in the Cabinet agenda, within the plan, and to reflect the refresh of the Local Area Agreement.
41/2009 The Cabinet recommended to Council that the Assistant Director of Communications, Performance and Partnerships is delegated authority, in consultation with the Portfolio Holder for Customer First and Corporate Services, to make changes to the Council Plan to reflect the minor revisions as set out in section 2.7 of the report.

Reasons for the decision:

The Police and Justice Act 2006 requires the production of an annual rolling three year plan.The Community Safety Partnership Plan forms part of the policy framework and the Constitution requires the Cabinet to finalise its proposals for the Council to consider having taken into account any proposals from Overview and Scrutiny.
