Purpose:
The report will outline the works proposed in
phase 1 of the Chatham Centre Traffic Scheme and seek authority to
accept a tender or tenders subject to funding for the project
receiving approval from ODPM.
Decision:
252/2005 The Cabinet accepted the tender from
Carr Construction on the terms set out in the exempt appendix to
the report subject to the approval of funding by the ODPM.
253/2005 The Cabinet authorised the Director of Regeneration and
Development to issue a Letter of Intent to Carr Construction to
enable detailed programme planning to take place.
Reasons for the decision:
The reconfiguration of the road network and
the award of this tender is essential to the delivery of the
Chatham Centre and Waterfront Development Framework.
