Purpose:

The Mapping Service Agreement is a framework agreement to provide mapping and address data and services to local authorities. This report examines the options for the procurement of these services and recommends that Cabinet authorises entry into the Mapping Service Agreement (MSA).

Decision:

173/2005 The Cabinet agreed to waive the contract rules in relation to this agreement and authorised the Director for Finance and Corporate Services to enter into the Mapping Services Agreement by 31 July 2005.

Reasons for the decision:

Approval of the Mapping Service Agreement will ensure that the provision of mapping and address services will continue and guarantee an uninterrupted service within the authority.The Mapping Services Agreement represents the best value for money available to the Council.
