This report will ask Cabinet to consider amending the review procedures following consideration by the Education and Lifelong Learning O&S Committee on 26 May 2005 and subsequent consultation with Headteachers on the proposals.

151/2005 The Cabinet approved the school organisation review procedures as set out in annex A to the report subject to the following further revisions to the public consultation process outlined on page 4 (page 202 of the agenda papers):
·the deletion the word 'normally' from the first line of the third paragraph and also from the first and second bullet points ·
the addition of a further bullet point, to read:

The revised procedures provide an up to date clear reference point for all those concerned with school reviews, about how Medway Council conducts school reviews and respective roles and responsibilities.
