This report will update Members on proposals
for the future of Eastgate House and the development of a business
plan for a Dickens Tourist Attraction in Rochester, as requested by
Cabinet on 9 November 2004 as part of the wider review of
properties in Rochester.

Reasons for the decision:
These decisions set out the future short- and
long-term uses of Eastgate House, one of the Council's most
important property assets. They also reintroduced some of the lost
aspects of Charles Dickens to the tourism offer in
Rochester.
