222/2003 The Cabinet accepted the proposed eligibility criteria developed by the inter- agency Eligibility Criteria Steering Group.
223/2003 The Cabinet agreed to the public launch of the revised eligibility criteria in September 2003.

This will enable the Council to meet the requirements set out in Department of Health policy guidance LAC (2001) 18.The eligibility criteria will provide greater clarity in determining the allocation of agency responsibilities, with regard to the provision of care and funding.The criteria will be easier for the general public to understand and will enable people to ascertain their entitlement to continuing health care provision which is free at the point of delivery.
