Purpose:
To present the Joint Review draft improvement
plan that has been prepared in response to the Joint Review of
Social Services in Medway.
Decision:
111/2003 The Cabinet agreed that the revised
draft improvement plan form the basis of wider consultation with
key stakeholders prior to the plan returning to Cabinet for
acceptance.
Reasons for the decision:
The short period of time that the Council has
had the Inspectors' report and the requirement for it to remain
confidential until it had been formally presented to members,
limited the amount of consultation that could be undertaken with
key stakeholders. This decision will allow interested parties time
to read the review and to comment on or participate in shaping the
final improvement plan.
