Decision:

See attached record of decisions

Reasons for the decision:

Option 1 would allow the Council and other admission authorities, to admit a small number of extra children, if after the consideration of second, third and extended preferences, there are insufficient places in Medway overall. Option 3 would enable Walderslade Girls' Schools to admit up to another 15 girls. This would mean greater parental satisfaction. If there was still a shortfall of non-selective places, by adopting option 2 after implementing options 1 and 3, the Council and other admission authorities would be able to meet the needs by sharing the responsibility to offer every Medway child an appropriate school place.Option 4 would only come into play if there were a shortfall of boys' selective places after the implementation of option 1.
