21/2003 Cabinet approved the proposed extension to the existing controlled parking scheme to include Gillingham Road (as illustrated on the map annexed to the report).
22/2003 Cabinet approved the proposed introduction of permit holder parking places only in Franklin Road on an experimental basis for six months. This is to then be reviewed.
23/2003 Cabinet delegated authority to the Director of Development and Environment, in consultation with the portfolio holder for Key Service Delivery, to consider any valid objections received following the advertisement of the intention to make the traffic regulation order, and to decide whether to proceed with the making of the order, with or without modifications.

These decisions would introduce new parking restrictions in Priestfield ward as requested by residents. Priestfield ward has parking problems due to commuters and visitors to the football stadium and conference suite. These proposals would alleviate some of these problems.These proposals are in line with the key objectives as set out in the local transport plan.
