This report recommends a revised timetable for the development of the Children and Young People's Strategic Plan for 2003-2006, to take into account additional planning requirements.

The Cabinet approved the rescheduling of the plan to take into account the additional planning requirements. This would mean a draft plan should be presented to Cabinet on 18 February 2003 for comment and recommendation to full Council on 5 March 2003.

Rescheduling would allow for proper consideration of the government announcements, impending guidance, emerging themes from consultation and new multi-agency requirements.
