119/2002 The Cabinet agreed to refer the draft Housing Strategy Statement to the Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee for comment and for the feedback from other consultation events to be incorporated into the final draft of the HRA Business Plan and Strategy Statement for consideration by Cabinet on 9 July.

The Council has a statutory duty to produce an annual Housing Strategy Statement. The proposed timetable would enable the annual submission to be submitted to GOSE by 30 July 2002. These documents form part of the Council's policy framework, it is therefore required that they are referred to the relevant scrutiny committee for consideration for consideration. The Cabinet will then take account of these views before formulating its recommendations to Council on 17 July 2002.
