Purpose:
This report seeks Cabinet approval to enter
into a formal procurement process for the re-provision of
accommodation based housing related support in the Luton
area.

Decision:
21/2009 The Cabinet approved the procurement
of four community based floating support services and one
accommodation-based support service as detailed in option 3 in the
report.
Reasons for the decision:
This method of procurement will provide the
basis to deliver much improved services. These services will be
supported by a robust objective to improve service excellence that
ensures more local people have services that meet their needs and
aspirations. The contracts will be informed by the latest best
practice guidelines and will secure best value.
