To report on the latest monitoring position.

164/2007 The Cabinet noted:
a) Spend and commitments on the approved programme since 1 April 2007 to date amounted to approximately £34 million
b) Forecast spend during 2007/2008 as a whole amounted to £105 million
c) The additions to the capital programme detailed in section 6 of the report
d) The virements approved as detailed in section 7 of the report.
165/2007 The Cabinet recommended to Council on 4 October 2007 the following additions to the capital programme as outlined in section 6 of the report:
a) Medway Innovation Centre - additional £600,000 to be funded from prudential borrowing
b) Medway Park Development - inclusion of the total scheme at £11.1m with expenditure limited to the £8.1m currently available.

Cabinet has the responsibility to ensure effective budgetary control to contain expenditure within the approved limits set by Council.
