A Councillor who declares a prejudicial interest must withdraw from the room unless a dispensation has been obtained from the Council's Standard's Committee or the exemption under paragraph 12(2) of the Medway Code of Conduct applies.
If an interest is not declared at the outset of the meeting, it should be disclosed as soon as the interest becomes apparent. |

| 5 | TO CONSIDER REPORTS AS FOLLOWS: |
| | (A) | Gambling Act 2005 - approval of statement of Council policy |
| | | The purpose of this report is to ask the Licensing and Safety Committee to consider the proposed Gambling Policy and make any comments thereon. The policy and comments will then be forwarded to Cabinet and Council for approval on 7 November and 7 December 2006 respectively. |
