The record of the meeting held on 26 April 2006 and the record of the Joint Meeting of all Committees held on 10 May 2006 were agreed and signed by the Chairman as correct.

12GAMBLING ACT 2005 - APPROVAL OF DRAFT STATEMENT OF GAMBLING POLICY FOR CONSULTATION PURPOSES
 Discussion:
 
The Licensing Manager presented a report that asked the Licensing and Safety Committee to consider and agree the Council's Draft Statement of Gambling Policy for consultation purposes.

 Decision:
 
The Committee considered the report and Draft Statement of Gambling Policy and approved the document for consultation purposes.
The Committee asked that relevant housing associations and organisations working with people who are problem gamblers be specifically approached as part of the consultation process.
