| | | The Monitoring Officer presented a report that asked the Committee to agree that the Monitoring Officer use the Standards Board for England guidance when conducting an investigation referred to her from them.

| The Committee also discussed the formation of potential Standards Committee hearings for investigations relating to both Council and Parish members. |

| | (a) | the Monitoring Officer may/can amend the procedures to reflect the guidance issued by the Standards Board and that the revised procedures are circulated to members of the Committee when completed;

| | (b) | the membership of Standards Committee hearings will comprise of 2 independent members and 1 Council member (or 1 Parish member where the investigation involves a Parish member) and that members should be selected in alphabetical name order and rotated alphabetically for each subsequent individual hearing. |
