359 | URGENT MATTERS BY REASON OF SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES |
| The Monitoring Officer informed Members that an error had taken place in allocating the Members for the next Referrals Sub-Committee and that this meeting had also been deferred in order that further information could be circulated to the Sub-Committee.
|
The Monitoring Officer stated that she had been approached by the Monitoring Officer of the Police Authority who had asked if Medway Council would be willing to share their Independent Standards Committee Members with the Police Authority. All of the Independent Members agreed to this request.
|
The Chairman stated that he had recently received a consultation paper from the Standards Board for England titled "Communities in control: Real people, real power, codes of conduct for local authority members and employees". He stated that responses to the consultation needed to be sent to the Standards Board for England by 24 December 2008 and asked that this consultation be put on the agenda for the Standards Committee meeting on 10 December 2008.
