Summary
This report will present a timetable and programme for the production of a new Local Plan for Medway. This will be set out in an updated Local Development Scheme, which is a statutory requirement of the plan making process.
The LDS will be accompanied by papers setting out the assessment of local housing needs in Medway and the current position on housing land supply. A Housing Delivery Strategy will promote the council’s work in stimulating housebuilding in Medway, pending the preparation of a new local plan.
